Bio

Deana Beni is the Bookkeeper at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC. She joined the administrative team at the firm in 2022 and brought with her over 30 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. Prior to joining the firm, Deana worked for 11 years as the Office Manager and Legal Assistant at Sallah Astarita & Cox, LLC in Boca Raton, Florida.

Deana performs daily accounting and financial reporting to ensure compliance and to maintain the firm’s operating and trust accounts.

Bio

Paola is a paralegal at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC, where she primarily supports the firm’s medical malpractice and civil litigation practice. She brings more than seven years of legal experience spanning government, insurance defense, and private practice, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Prior to joining Waldrep Wall, Paola served as a legal secretary at Kubicki Draper in Miami, Florida, where she supported attorneys through all phases of litigation, including court filings, discovery, trial preparation, and case management. She also worked for GEICO’s in-house counsel and began her legal career with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, supporting child support enforcement matters.

As a paralegal, Paola assists attorneys with medical malpractice and civil litigation matters, including preparing legal documents, coordinating court filings, managing case files and deadlines, and supporting all stages of the litigation process. She is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to providing responsive support to attorneys and clients.

Marybeth is a paralegal at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC. Marybeth primarily provides support in the firm’s bankruptcy practice. Prior to joining the firm, she was a paralegal with Waldrep LLP and prior to that, Pinto Coates Kyre & Bowers, PLLC in Greensboro. She has over 35 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate, estate planning and probate, and bankruptcy.  Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was a paralegal at a law firm in Sarasota, Florida, for 27 years.

Marybeth received her Paralegal degree at the State College of Florida. She is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate. Marybeth received her “Contract to Closing” certification at Attorney’s Title in Florida.  She has been a Notary for over 35 years. 

Marybeth served as a Vice Chairman and Commission Member on the Thomasville Historic Preservation Commission.

Bio

Malak joined Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC in 2025 as the Legal Administrative Assistant for the Raleigh office. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and first entered the legal field through an opportunity as a Legal Immigration Intern. Inspired by the inner workings of the legal profession, Malak enrolled in an ABA-Approved Paralegal Program to further develop her knowledge and skills.

Before joining Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey, Malak gained experience as a legal courier and receptionist, roles that strengthened her administrative abilities and familiarity with law firm operations. These experiences laid the foundation for her continued professional growth. 

In her current role, Malak supports the Raleigh office by managing administrative tasks, corresponding with team members, and ensuring attorneys and staff have the resources they need to work efficiently. She is committed to contributing to a well-organized, collaborative, and productive office environment. 

Bio

Katharine is a paralegal at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC, primarily providing support in the firm’s bankruptcy practice. Prior to joining the firm, she was a paralegal with The Law Office of Kevin L. Sink, PLLC and prior, Nicholls & Crampton, PA in Raleigh. She has paralegal experience in the areas of bankruptcy and reorganization matters, commercial transactions, real estate, and business litigation.

Katharine also works as a Trustee’s Assistant at Waldrep Wall. Since his appointment, she has worked with Kevin Sink, a partner at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC and a member of the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Jackie is a paralegal at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC and has many years of experience in the areas of corporate, business, healthcare, and bankruptcy law. Prior to joining the firm, she was a paralegal with Wall Babcock LLP, during which time she developed a wide range of office administration skills and expanded her paralegal expertise.

Before joining Wall Babcock, Jackie was a paralegal at Bell, Davis & Pitt, P.A., working together with Tom Waldrep, Jim Wall, and John Babcock in the areas of bankruptcy and corporate law.

She received an A.A.S. degree in Paralegal Technology, with honors, from Forsyth Technical Community College. She has been a notary public since 1984.

Tammie is a Legal Administrative Assistant at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC. She joined the firm in 2025, bringing significant experience in providing legal and administrative support across law firms, financial institutions, and corporate legal departments, with experience spanning commercial real estate, corporate transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Waldrep Wall, Tammie held legal support and paralegal roles with Bell, Davis & Pitt, Volvo Financial Services, Blanco Tackabery, Syngenta, Wells Fargo, and Wachovia, where she supported attorneys and business teams with document preparation, transaction coordination, litigation support, business formations, regulatory compliance, and commercial lending matters.

As a Legal Administrative Assistant, Tammie supports the firm’s attorneys through all stages of client matters, including document preparation, matter coordination, court filings, scheduling, file management, and administrative support. She is known for her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to delivering responsive, high-quality support in fast-paced legal environments.

Kelli Linville serves as Office Assistant at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC. She is the firm’s primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience. Kelli manages vendor relationships, coordinates services, and supports efficient office operations. She is the friendly voice that will most likely greet you when you call the office.

Beyond reception, Kelli contributes to the firm’s marketing efforts through her creative expertise. She provides in-house photography for branding needs, staff and events and operates a photography and graphic design business, earning the Minority Business Award in 2015 for outstanding business achievement. Her skills include corporate and consumer photography, event décor design, and development of visually engaging marketing materials.

Katie is the Finance Coordinator at Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC. She joined the firm in 2026 and brings seven years of accounting experience across the healthcare, technology, and professional services industries. Prior to joining the firm, Katie held accounting and financial operations roles supporting accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, forecasting, invoice management, and other core accounting functions.

As Finance Coordinator, Katie supports the firm’s financial operations, including trust accounting, client billing, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and financial systems administration. She is committed to improving processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing responsive, reliable support to the firm’s attorneys and administrative team.
