Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey PLLC is proud to participate in and support the 2024 NC Legal Feeding Frenzy! On March 19, our firm co-hosted an event with Highwoods Properties, Inc. in the main lobby of our Raleigh office. Highwoods held a meet and greet for the building’s new property manager and brought the coffee, while Waldrep Wall Babcock & Bailey supported the Legal Feeding Frenzy by collecting canned food donations and brought the donuts. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated canned foods for a great cause! To make a donation to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, click here. What is the Legal Feeding Frenzy?
#NCLFF24 is a month-long food and funds drive (March 1–31, 2024), supported by the state’s legal community. In this friendly competition, law firms, law schools, corporate in-house counsel, and government/public interest organizations compete for the most donations benefitting local Feeding the Carolinas food banks.
Who Can Participate?
Sole Practitioners, Small Firms, Medium Firms, Large Firms, Law Schools, Government/Public Interest, and Corporate/In-House Counsel
Where Do Donations Go?
Communities across North Carolina | Donations go directly to your local Feeding the Carolinas food bank.
Why Should I get Involved?
Food insecurity is the lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy lifestyle. One in nine people in North Carolina are food insecure as of 2022 (Rabbitt et al, 2023). Feeding the Carolinas’ NC Food Banks report an increase of up to four times the demand for food since before the pandemic (2023). The Legal Feeding Frenzy is an opportunity for the legal community to come together to make a difference in the fight against hunger.
Where Can I Get More Information?
Legal Feeding Frenzy is an annual joint program of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Feeding the Carolinas food banks, supported by a grant from the North Carolina Bar Foundation Endowment. Registration for #NCLFF24 will open on Feb. 21, 2024, at the team application page. For additional details, rules and registration, visit nclegalfeedingfrenzy.com.
